Maintaining schemes to ensure that your data handling meets with GDPR (or other) guidelines and so that you don’t exceed your subscription allowance is essential. This is why SUMAC® now provides the means to delete individual members from schemes.

⚠️Deleted data cannot be retrieved. Proceed with caution!

Instructions

To delete a member, visit the member’s profile page. At the end of the row of buttons underneath the tags, you’ll find a “Trash can” button (see above) - clicking this will show a popup:

In the popup you’ll see a warning, as well as the option to export the member’s data.

Before deleting, you might want to contact the member to inform them that their data is being removed from SUMAC®. This can be done via the Send Email functionality on their profile page.

Deleting data for a member will delete all personal, partnership and meeting data. This will remove the partnership data from their partner profiles also. This is to ensure that data removal complies with current guidelines.

Exporting data

Before deleting a member, you have the option to export all of their data. Data is provided in a ZIP file and is composed of Excel® compatible CSV files.

Deleting

Once done, type Confirm into the text box, and click Confirm to clear the scheme. A notification will appear top right of the interface to inform you that SUMAC® has started the process.

⚠️Don't forget

Only delete a member if you are sure, and won’t need to access data for the member in the future. If you have reached account limits and want to retain the member data, get in touch with your account coordinator.
